i strongly advice not having machine work done by them. where do i begin. the first issue i had with them was on pricing for parts and labor on the work i was planning on having done. i get one quote then when it comes time to drop off my motor the prices are higher because "clay looked up the wrong part", but no big deal mistakes happen. then it takes along time to just have my block bored, decked and cleaned. thats another thing, after you pay close to $1000 on machine work and your motor still has flaking rust build up in... read more

Not Too Many Around Like Clay's Machine Shop – Clay's Auto Parts & Machine Shop is very rare to find these days. This is a family owned company that cares about the work they accomplish and that the customer is satisfied. Have you ever heard of an owner driving 46 miles to come check out problem with part you had machined. Most would tell you to pull the engine and bring it back in. Rare parts finders with patience and excellent machinists. – Clay's auto parts is kinda like Cheers without the beer. It is family owned and they treat you like family. I had a pretty rare car and they would always try to help me find the parts that I needed- and would spend extra time trying to find it at a good price! I've also had machine work done there also and the work was top notch. Best Auto Machine shop – Clays automotive is great. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Family owned and operated. Large inventory so waiting on parts is not too bad.
