RecommendedGreat family run business! How many activities can you do with 3 generations? We painted projects twice with a teen daughter, mother and 82 yr old grandmother and we all loved it! It’s almost addicting, we all wanted to do more!

Painting was fun, but someone took my pottery (by mistake I’m sure). They gave me a voucher for the cost of my pottery. So now I have to go back within one year, pay the sitting fee again, and then pay for one of my kids to go with me, cause I’m not just gonna go by myself. They need to have a better way to identify who’s creations belong to who. Currently you just leave it on a table when you leave and hope it all works out. Love this place!!! Such a great selection of pottery it's hard to choose just one piece. The atmosphere and decor is so artistic and inspiring. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. A great relaxing place to spend an afternoon with your kids or friends.
Clay Cafe is my absolute favorite! I live in New York City now and every time I come home to VA I try to make time for a craft sesh with the most artistic staff a girl could hope to spend her afternoon with. Gayla is the absolute sweetest and will make your day with her bright, bubbly personality the moment you walk in the door, and Hannah is attentive and knows just about every answer to any question you could muster up when painting pottery.
