I brought my truck in today for recall work that I scheduled several weeks ago. Upon arrival, there was some confusion regarding parts availability. I was able to speak to service manager, Travis Pounds, who turned a potentially negative experience into a master class in customer service. He not only got my truck serviced, but also arranged to have my wife’s recall work completed today, as well. This is why we continue to buy our vehicles at the Classic family of dealerships!
Update 8/9/25: At Mr. Pounds invitation to look into my issues, I met with him on July 30. We had a very thorough and respectful discussion where we exchanged information, ideas, and challenges. I found Mr. Pounds to be a person of integrity and someone who genuinely cares about the reviews his department receives. His consistent responses to negative reviews are a testament to this. Took my sons truck in for service on July 10 It will be a month tomorrow and it’s still in there .. To replace 2) NOX sensors!!! it’s so hard to get ahold of anyone and when system had me text the manager , he don’t get back with me either! I was finally told it was going to be done yesterday, still waiting never received a phone call saying other wise My vehicle needs service as well, I’m surely not taking it here!
I recently took my car to the Buick GMC dealership in Beaumont, Texas, after noticing the service engine light had come on. Update 7/23/25: Because I still had issues with the braking system, I took my vehicle to an independent shop and they informed me that the front brakes (pads/rotors/caliper) need to be replaced! The new shop provided photographic and video evidence. Make your own conclusions. I have owned GMC vehicles for over 30 years and have exclusively chosen dealerships for my service needs on these vehicles.
