I would like to acknowledge three gentlemen that do their job extraordinarily well. Jake and George are floating care providers that were assigned to work UNMC’s Clarkson Tower the night my mother arrived there. She was diagnosed with a very painful case of Shingles which developed near her right eye. I could see that the hospital and its staff were busy the moment I stepped out of the elevator so I began to prepare myself for a long night of waiting. My Mom was recently at Clarkson Tower and received excellent care in the SICU! Her primary nurse Katie was beyond excellent - wish I could give higher stars! All of the team members, Alex, Grace, the Critical Care Team, neurosurgeon team, stroke team and other were professional, proficient and most importantly kind to my Mom. Katie helped the family if we had any questions and was a great advocate for my Mom! 🥰However, we had a much different experience when she moved to a trauma care room.
