It’s the best oyster bar spot in Austin, Texas and probably the south. Never had a bad meal there and always outstanding service
Dined at Clark’s in Austin on 8/13. On short notice I needed a place that served seafood to go for a flight I had scheduled the following day. Walked in and very politely introduced myself to the general manager Alexandria Wempe. She was as warm as an iceberg and as cuddly a hedgehog. Zero warmth. She talks at you or tries to talk over you. Had a decent time here for dinner. It’s an interesting mix between casual and fine dining with both their menu and their atmosphere. Our waitress was excellent and we really enjoyed the oysters shrimp and linguine with clams. I wasn’t a fan of the hot sauce in the clam chowder or the amount of chives in the lobster roll. Overall, this was a nice dining experience, but next time I would want to sit inside and would be more selective with the items I ordered.
