I had plans on going to Clarke Rubber Dubbo in the morning to get a few things, however based on the reviews I’ve read about this store and how the manager speaks to and treats the customers, I’ll be giving it a miss and shopping elsewhere.
called ahead to buy some rubber mat today. drove to store to purchase 6*1m lengths of rubber mat needed for multiple vehicles. asked salesperson, price $630 or $660. no problem. they came back with a 6m roll. I asked them to cut it into 1m lengths for me. they told me to cut it myself. i asked for manager(Ray is his name). I explained i wanted 6x1m lengths cut. he told me its against shop procedures to cut it. I said if i want 1m piece would you cut it for me he said yes. Ray was a wonderful help with my junior rugby team, Ray suggested a certain rubber to help with lifting in the lineouts. Thank you
The lack of enthusiasm for helping was laughable. Refused to allow my sofa cushion into the store for fear of contamination. Refused to help me measure the cushion as "if your measurements are wrong then you can't blame me" and the general lack of 'expert advice' to my questions left us standing in awkward silence. A simple task ended up being a waste of my time and patience. I get that "his young fellow called in sick" but none of this was about that. He just wasn't interested in me or my custom.
Went in for foam for a lounge refurb. Friendly and helpful, fantastic communication.
