I’ve had a storage unit with Clark properties for over 15 years. I received an email today increasing my storage unit rent from $32 to $53 a month effective June 1, 2022. I realize the economy is hurting, but an increase of almost 60% is obscene. In fact, I think it’s unethical to gouge their customers with that kind of increase.

I leased 2 storefronts from Clark Properties all adjoining . I was an 18 year tenant. After 17 years I need to close 1 of them. I waited till the end of the lease to do so. I had with permission made an opening to be able to pass through from one to another. Upon vacating I hired a contractor to seal up the opening. At that time there was the threat of a hurricane and my contractor evacuated for it. The opening wasn’t sealed on time. The job got completed 7 days after the end of my lease.
