As the end of the year and tax season approaches, beware of hiring Amy Kennedy of Clarity Tax Solutions. We hired her to prepare and file our business and personal tax returns for 2022 and were extremely dissatisfied by her service. The first red flag was that she refused to release drafts of our returns until we paid in full, which turned out to be more than four times the amount charged by our previous CPA. After already paying thousands of dollars to file a couple years taxes, Amy kept demanding more and more money. For the work I had done, it should have cost at most $400, I ended up paying almost $3000 before realizing that she was never going to "finish" my taxes, but was just going to keep asking for more money. I had a great experience with Clarity. Amy was attentive and professional. I didn't file taxes for 2019 as I wasn't able to come up with the money I owed. Amy was able to look at my taxes and fix the mistakes I made and instead of owing money I got a small return. Amy recommended the "Drop Box program for me to download and I was able to upload the information she needed, receive my completed return, sign it and send it back. Easy! I recommend Clarity Taxes for everyone!
Avoid at all costs! Amy and Roger are the least professional people my wife and I have ever dealt with. Amy was too busy sanding her floors to be bothered to attend a previously arranged. Instead, Roger regaled us with unrelated stories for hours while our newborn shrieked. Amy and Roger did not complete our taxes by the due date as promised, nor did they file an extension.
