I have seen Dr. Ellis a few times via video visits. She provided excellent care and thoughtful guidance regarding the sleep issues I’ve been experiencing. She took the time to ask detailed questions about my sleeping patterns and really listened to my concerns. When I requested a referral for a sleep study, she promptly provided one and also shared helpful insights into what might be causing my symptoms.
I called to establish care yesterday on 2/4 and enter my number for a call back which never happen so I called back before closing to see if I could setup and appointment. A representative name Lola answered and I explained that I was calling back to establish care with Dr. Ellis… she began taken down my information along with my insurance and DOD number… than she said Dr Ellis isn’t accepted new patients at this time. After seeing Dr Ellis for three years, I have decided to seek care elsewhere. Simply put, I do not believe Dr. Ellis is a good fit for my needs. My initial decision to choose her was based on the desire to support a provider of color, hoping for a different experience given the disparities in healthcare. However, my experience has shown that she is hesitant to address issues outside of a basic scope.
