Clara's Lansing Station is a unique & fun restaurant! Unique & Fun Restaurant! Great food! Great service! Really neat idea for an old train station.Huge, Huge Menu, something for everyone! Great place to take family from out of town. Love to eat out in the train car...trains even still go by. The food choices are amazing...steaks, seafood, pasta, etc.. Insider's View I used to be a steady customer of Clara's, then I tried working there. I was sadly disillusioned when I realized that a good 3/4ths of the extensive menu came from Gordon Food or a frozen box and was microwaved and served. Definitely not worth the money they charge, in my opinion.
Unique and outstanding For myself, guests, groups, Clara's is first choice in Lansing. Fabulous architectural setting, great food (huge menu) and service, and you can choose to eat in a real train dining car, and indeed watch trains glide by you on adjacent track.
Gotta try Clara's fries! My coworkers and I went here for lunch recently. Clara's has a very extensive menu. They also have their own type of fries known as "Clara's fries". They are slices of baked potato that are deep fried. I ordered them and they were delicious. I loved the atmosphere as well. The restaurant is very old and nostalgic as it used to be an actual train station at one time.
Unique Their price is a little high, however their food is really good. This is a great place to sit down with some friends, have some drinks and enjoy your meals. Nice clean atmosphere. I have sat in the loft and on the main floor but haven't had the pleasure of eating in the train yet. I go there everytime I'm in Lansing.
Most beautiful restaurant in Lansing – My husband and I were visiting Lansing and didn't know where to go for food. Everything was closed but the fast-food joints. While driving around downtown we saw this place and decided to give it a try. What a good decision! The menu has a broad range of choices, and the food is good. Make a reservation. Wide and varied menu. Sunday brunch...what a spread! Historical setting...you might even be seated in the train itself (although I like sitting in the loft the best). Summertime allows for patio seating, too.
