I recently visited Claire Givens Violins for the first time since they moved locations, and overall, it was a really positive experience. Parking was actually easier than I expected. If you park in the ramp, they’ll validate your parking, which is a great perk. If you don’t care about validation, there’s also paid street parking right in front and along the side of the building which us super convenient, especially if you’re carrying instruments. So good! We came from Sioux Falls to upgrade our 3/4 size cello. They had a nice selection in our price range. The employees were super kind and helpful. The decor is really cool! My son found a cello and bow that he LOVES. They even threw in a bunch of free stuff, including parking. Just amazing experience. We’ll be customers for life. One of, if not, the best bow rehairs I've ever had. My bow that I have had for 5 years looks brand new. Along with that, they paid for parking, showing amazing customer service.

I’m an adult leaner who just started roughly a year ago. Recently I decided to expand my cello search from Cali to Minneapolis, given the fact that I have quarterly week long business trip here. Matthew and Claire treated me very well even though my visit was prompt and a bit rush. All cello candidates picked by Claire were reasonably priced and most importantly very well configured and adjusted. Incredibly helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable staff! Their Cello Sales Associate, Matthew Dosland, was amazing and helped me find the perfect set of strings for my instrument, gladly taking into consideration my specific sound & performance requirements.
