Trying to charge me but I’ve already met my deductible
The app and website both say they take my insurance (Covered Ca Blue Shield) I made the appointment, checked in, then was informed it would be $228 to be seen as they no longer take my insurance. I asked why someone couldn’t have told me that before I arrived, they said, “I don’t know.”
Do not go to the Mountain Blvd location in Oakland. 1) The nurse practitioner (Taranjit) who prescribed my meds wasn’t licensed to prescribe those meds. The why did she prescribe them in the first place? 2) The first three times, the prescription did not go through. It took me four attempts to get my pain medication. Please go to another urgent care facility. This place will waste your time.
Special shout outs especially to Tiesha Meacham at the front desk and Dr Stephanie Higgins at the Montclair Mountain Blvd branch. Extremely competent and caring. Thank you for your attentiveness and support. You both always make me feel that I'm in good hands (especially when I'm not feeling too well)
I had the pleasure of interacting with Tiesha Meacham, and I must say her customer service skills are outstanding. When visiting the office in San Leandro on May 19, 2025, I observed Tiesha in the waiting lobby, and it was clear that she creates a warm and welcoming environment for everyone who walks through the door.
