Just took a cab home from Beale, this Uber Ride usually costs $7, was charged $25, he didn’t have the meter running, and didn’t have change so he rounded to $30. I WILL NEVER USE A MEMPHIS TAXI AGAIN, just Uber’s and Lyfts for us from here on out. Way to continue bankrupting small independent cab services, for an extra $20 tonight you’ve lost yourself a nightly return customer. Pathetic!
The driver had 3 fares in his cab/van. I was the 3rd to be dropped off. He took money from the first 2 and charged ME the full cost of the ride when i had to ride around with the other 2 fares. The man was 72 years old driving down the interstate doing 30 mph while others passing doing 60+ mph honking at him! I was late for my bus connection and stranded for 24 hrs in Memphis and had to buy another bus ticket. Retire the dude!
