I had a situation when I decided to do the trial session with the trainer manager ******. This is after I already signed up online for my membership. He asked all the questions to make the Interaction personable and the used my words against me when I mentioned I couldnt rationalize spending $200 on top of my monthly for 4 30-minute sessions. Despicable gym, equipment is a joke and no staff. Pathetic, no leadership and no response from corporate. we pay full price and only get 50% of the equipment to use, EVERYTHING in that gym needs to be service and a deep clean.

Would have chosen ZERO Stars if allowed. This is the worst of the three locations on Staten Island, although Forest Avenue is no better. I travel for work, and enjoy LAF elsewhere - but the conditions at this gym have gotten so bad that I had to join another gym. Luckily I am in an annual contract that expires soon. LAF needs to take a serious look at how their Staten Island locations are being run. Most machine are either broken or missing the necessary pins to operate. On a recent visit I counted more than 1/2 of of treadm... read more
