I really wanted to share my experience that is consistent with the last 15 years I've lived in Portland, to add a counterbalance to the 1.8 stars I see here. Obviously, none of us like paying taxes, but I have ALWAYS been extremely impressed with the customer service and helpfulness of the people on the other end of the line. Every year I have to call about something...often multiple times because we have complex taxes, and every time I reach a live, competent human being immediately. tax after tax...
Just adding to the 1s because taxes. Also, the death rate of homeless individuals going from 200/yr to 400/yr since metro shs tax inception (ex. 456 in 2023, 193 in 2019). Can’t imagine that art tax doing much better.
