I deeply appreciate Mary Anna Towler's voice of sanity and thoughtfulness in this era of the 24-hour news cycle and strident, hyper-partisan blather about America's place in the world. Rochester is indeed fortunate to have this independent voice speaking truth to power at the local level as well as on wider issues.
