You have to go at least once... For two reasons: 1) You WILL find something you want at a fantastic price, and 2) You will see the most amazing junk ever. They buy items from businesses going under, and end up with the weirdest assortment of stuff. It's amazing some of the things that someone thought someone else would want to put in their home. That said, they do actually have some great stuff, it's just a matter of finding it. When you do, you will be very pleased with the price.
Rudeness reigns supreme I've also heard the owner berate people, both customers and employees alike, on several occasions. He seems to have no compunction about his impropriety but in this business, who would expect otherwise? As for his sarcastic quip to the customer re: requesting adiscount at Nordstom, her reply should have been an emphatic NO & here's why: Nordstrom only sells NEW unblemished items mfr direct which carries TWO guarantees... one from the mfr & one from the retailer itself. Any Nordstrom devotee knows that... read more
Great stuff & affordable This place was so interesting! I found so many great finds & the people were so nice. I got an amazing deal on my new couch & rug with money to spare. Talk to Zach, he is the owners son. He gave a great deal and was so kind. They do have some junk on the first floor, but I found treasures on the third & second floor. It takes time to look at all of their selection but is well worth it! Go when you have some extra time to poke around & bring your measurements!
Interesting, elclectic mix of items This is an interesting store, not only for finding bargains on furniture, organizational items and other materials for your home or office, but also just to browse. They have an amazing selection of things "grabbed" from businesses that are going out of business and want to liquidate what assets they have. The savings gets passed on to buyers and it results in a very odd mix of things available to purchase. Each time I have gone I have found different things. It's a bit hard to find someth... read more
Selection & style I really had fun shopping at City Liquidators. Overall it took some searching to find what I was looking for but with some help from Quinton I found the perfect dinning room set. My beautiful set has lasted my family years. I always to back to see what else they have and anytime one of the kids out grows their bed or we need to spruce up the house city liquidators is our first stop. The store is massive so plan for plenty of time to look around. It also has floors of other goodies like dishes, cleaning supp... read more
Rude owner I buy a great deal of items from City Liquidators for my business. When I needed to restock my supplies I was told by the clerk to ask the owner if he would offer me a 10% discount since I was buying so much. Walt, the owner, approached me and asked if " when you go to Nordstrom do you ask for a discount" and continued to berate me in front of other customers for even asking. I felt this was pretty rude since the cashier suggested I ask and even more so when I finally went back 6 months later and was greeted with ... read more
Sometimes I swear the prices here are higher than they should be. “Liquidators” can be a little misleading.
There are some good finds if you have the time and energy to dig through the hoard! The best value here is the custom order Stanton furniture selection never has to touch the inside of the store
Absolute worst company I've ever had to deal with. I bought a sectional with a chase lounge and ottoman from them. They weren't going to be able to deliver it for over a week so I had to arrange my own delivery. I also was told at the time of purchase that my couch had a lifetime warranty. After a couple of months the cushions were almost completely flat, including the ottoman. I contacted City Liquidators and was asked to supply photos of my receipt and couch cushions. After doing so I never heard anything back. I followed ... read more
