Don't Go Here!!!! Don't trust this place with your pet. Several years ago, as a nervous and scared young pet owner, I made the grave mistake of taking my dog there. At an appointment to monitor a fever he'd broken, this vet insisted on giving him two injections (one to make him "not drool as much") and one presumably to bring down his temperature. He got angry when I asked for price quotes. During the follow-up visit, he said my dog needed a skin bump removed, and the only way to do it was through surgery. After that surgery... read more
Bite Be Gone My dog Lucky is 13 years old and has been a patient of Dr. Sharma for about 4 years. Lucky was bit by an insect and started to tear the hair out at the sight of the bite. After consulting with Dr. Sharma, I administered the medication he advised me to give to her and in less than two weeks her hair was already growing back. Thanks Doc! Good Job!
Very friendly staff Very caring towards every little patient. My dog gets great attentive treatment. Everyone is very friendly. She actually enjoys her visits to the vets.
Great place to bring any type of pet! Great place to bring any type of pet. I have a really friendly and outgoing boxer. Its really hard to find a vet where I feel comfortable taking him too. I always get weird looks because my dog seems to be a bit of a disturbance. Well City Animal has the best staff. Everyone is very friendly and it makes it joy to bring your pet here.
cat rescuer One time, Dr.Sharma was planning on taking the day off to be with his family down at Six Flags in Gurnee,Illinois. He & his wife drove in seperate cars.Low & behold, I came across another seriously injured stray who needed immediate medical attention.I am low income & didn't have the funds needed to take the cat to the 24 hour ER vet down th street, and I would be darned to take the cat over to animal control just to have her go unclaimed and then be euthanized. watch out for fake reviews Please note, I was looking at other vets in the area and discovered city vet went from 1 star from last year in 2010 to 4 stars on google maps in 1 year. Almost all the reviews on google, insider page and city search are fake. Please use extreme caution when considering City Animal for their dishonest use of online reviews.
