Most horrible support experience. Our internet has been faulting for weeks and the only support we have received is a modem swap. Over 10 calls/emails and hours wasted and no help. Twice we are told someone’s coming and nothing, no one calls or comes. Absolutely not happy and we have kids online school, online professor at Radford and an IT work from home Dad. We are way behind all thanks to Citizens
The download speeds are horrible, we have the best plan available for out area, and I’m averaging roughly 1-6 MBPS, a 12.98 GB download shouldn’t take 12-24 hours... also the WiFi router will sometimes stop working completely for no reason, but since the only competition is satellite dish, we’ve got to go with citizens. 🤷🏽♂️
RecommendedWe recently moved to Christiansburg. There are multiple choices here and none of them are as good as Citizens. I miss my internet in Floyd County and wish they would extend to the Christiansburg area.
So lucky to have a truly local internet/telephone/cable provider with great customer service
We are very pleased with the service we receive from Citizens and especially with the Total Connect security system, both locally from Brandon and from the remote team who monitors the system. Everyone is just as polite and helpful as they can be--which is a true skill when there is a nervous and upset person on the line who doesn't understand why something is beeping or screeching and the usual fixes do not work. I don't even know how to express the disappointment this service has given. Every new plan they try to come up with to appease the general people of Floyd only gets worse. Speeds are slow, plans are worse, and the price is high. The only thing higher than the prices are the egotistic centers of the people running this company. They claim these speeds are going to skyrocket, which they will, but they put the prices so high that you can't afford what they offer unless you work for them.
