A hail storm destroyed our shingles & aluminum siding. Citizens/Hanover sent out a local third-party to assess the damage. Interestingly, he had previously been an adjuster at Citizens/Hanover. No longer being a Citizens/Hanover employee, he still uses them for his insurance because he perceives that their focus is on making the customer whole rather than trying to wiggle out of responsibility. In the end, I was left with the same impression. They covered everything with minimal hassle. I was very pleased.
Absolutely awful customer service. Filed a claim from storm damage in 2021 the adjuster (Brittnay (spelled correctly))said they will contact me. They never did it wasn’t until a storm August 2023 and I got my new escrow statement I ever heard from anyone ($400 price increase). My area was inside the damaged area from the awful storms August 2023 flood wind tornados and additional damage was done to my property.
