I've been banking with Citibank for some years now. I opened my account at the Minnesota Ave Citibank location but I always use the drive through teller at the Capitol Hill Citibank location. Numerous trips back and forth to the Capitol Hill location since December and the teller machine is not working, or it's not dispensing money or it can't read checks deposited and ejects back out. I don't normally write reviews but they did their job very poorly. I wanted to close ONE of my accounts and it stated that night that it was closed. About 5 days later, it's back open and overdrawn by $400??? They keep telling me it was because of pending transactions. I do not have any overdraft plans on my account and the balance was $0 when closing it. Not sure what they're trying to do here but BEWARE. It seems like scheme. I initially wrote a review complaining about a wrong rate applied which really bothered me. Citibank reached out to me and fixed the issue. Thank goodness! Now I like them again
Do not do any banking there, especially larger sums/investments. Go to another branch. The branch manager at Eastern Market made a mistake and applied a wrong rate. It was clearly her mistake. It is costing me $1500. It’s just beyond belief.
