This is painful for me to do but it needs to be said. My wife of 40 years was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer that had spread to her liver. She was 78 years old. This place was super nice. I wished they didn't let people , paint on their loved ones nails , and dye their loved ones hair , and paint punk rocker makeup , and took her picture after passung to post on facebook? while our loved one was unconscious and passing. I'm sure the other patients and families didn't appreciate those strong odors either. That's the craziest thing I've ever seen. What an incredible team of caregivers. They treated my father-in-law – all of us, really– with such dignity, respect, and compassion. The home nurses were wonderful and made sure we had what we needed to keep him comfortable. When he was moved to their facility, they struck the perfect balance of giving us privacy and checking in on him and us. The social worker came by regularly, often just to chat and see how we were.
