Easy to Dismiss Cipriani as both showy and cliquey, but get used to it and you'll find one of the best tables in town. Great Italian food with attentive, responsive and tactful (discreet) service.
the best cipriani in town
Stay clear - appalling experience - I came here for drinks with work colleagues, I must say that the experience was a complete nightmare. The staff at this location are appalling, they’re rude & have bad attitudes. I would rather spend my money at a different bar with staff who are friendly. I must say I was really disappointed & expected more from the Cipriani. I would suggest that the human resources of this organization should do a better job at hiring the right people who want to work in the service industry. I urge you ... read more
the food is terrible – Harrys seems to have stayed in business because of tourists who don't know any better and a following of the UES senior citizens. The food and service are terrible and it VERY overpriced.
The Cipriani Empire, the restaurant equivalent of the Roman Empire, has made its mark in New York City. With locations in Midtown, Soho and Wall Street, the Cipriani rivals restaurants such as Sant Ambroeus and Casa Lever. Each location (Harry Cipriani, Cipriani Downtown and Cipriani Wall Street) each have something unique to offer. Harry Cipriani is the more formal restaurant. The Cipriani Downtown is more for Manhattan's socialites who blow air kisses and drink Bellinis at 1 o'clock in the afternoon on a Saturday and the C... read more
Excellent! (Provided someone else is paying.) – We visited in December. First off, the waiters were extremely personable and helpful. We even had screaming kid with us which they came over and entertained for a bit. talked about their kids etc. Food was great, creative big selection if u have the $ and yes it is expensive. nota stuffy atmosphere. I will return. if a 24$ burger scares you, best to stay away. but to me a 24$ burger is a future conversation. we walked in at 4. but reservations would be required for dinner. the ... read more
go for it! – my husband and i found our waiter to be friendly, the food fresh, tasty, and very simply presented. We stumbled across the restaurant not knowing the history . it was raining and we were very casually dressed and walked in soaked to the bone and the waiter made a couple selections for us. we had a cucumber tomato salad and veal ravioli and wow best i had ever had, perfectly prepared. we had dessert and they even brought a complimentary piece of pecan pie. wow packed with lovely giant pecans! the cheese cake (not... read more
Consistently Hot Crowd - Great to Impress – My wife and I love this place. Absolutely great people watching and despite some other reviews the food was great. I had a reservation (thanks to a friend) but yet my wait was still quite long (which is why it got four stars instead of five). Another great New York Experience.
Great !!! – Great place, delicious food , very friendly and helpful staff. Overall experience was better than i expected. Harry Cipriani you get A+ !
