Tucked away on a quiet street, this restaurant is a true hidden gem and the standout dishes are absolutely worth making the trip. The pork neck was the star of the meal. Truly fantastic food. I don’t think it’s overhyped. Really delicious and interesting presentation. Bao buns were amazing, same with the cold Tom Yum calamari, dumplings, and duck. We literally slurped every last bite of it up, even the rice. The service is a bit erratic though as I saw in other comments. They’re nice, but they gave us the wrong dish initially. It was also very cold in the back room by the windows and it is loud and you’re sitting quite close to everyone else.
Food was excellent but served lukewarm. Service was very erratic. Also the noise level is very high. Can’t order a cocktail that is not on their menu, not even a martini. Red wine came cold from the fridge. It’s a bit overrated, and the price doesn’t match the service level. Don’t fall into the narrative that if you have to book two months in advance, it must be good. They are open 3 days a week.
This was my third visit to Cintro. I was initially drawn by the hype and word of mouth — how difficult it was to get a reservation and how special the experience was supposed to be. There is certainly a lot to like. The restaurant has the feel of a hidden gem, tucked away on a quiet street in a converted house with only a small number of tables.
