9/2024 - Review edit. We were told we could contact Cindy again if we were in need of her services so I emailed her(about a very similar issue). After a couple of emails back & forth she then advised she could not work us because I had made the mistake of revealing the issue in my email instead of waiting to speak with her. I’m not a lawyer, I had no idea I couldn’t tell her what the problem was before talking with her. She recommended the Attorney General’s office (for a Tennant- landlord issue (we are tenants). It was a greatly satisfactory experience working with Ms. Yeung. Besides being highly professional, efficient and knowledgeable, she was quick to communicate with, and she answered all questions patiently and provided valuable advice. She not only achieved the results, but also she was transparent about her billing. We will not hesitate to retain Ms. Yeung again if we need legal services in the future.
I reached out to Cindy about a dispute with my landlord over a security deposit. Cindy agreed to craft a demand letter and communicated that she can send it on my behalf. Upon signing the engagement letter, Cindy refused to send a demand letter on my behalf after crafting one. When I brought up that it doesn't match what she communicated earlier, she said that she got some new clients in the meantime and that she doesn't have time to deal with landlord anymore. She definitely went above and beyond to talk me through my options, described the legal situation and her knowledge of the people and companies involved, and I could not be more thankful.
