This company used to be great but after being bought out at least two times it is the worst!! First, they said my husband was covered for eye problems and then they said just an eye vision visit and said not covered by insurance and charged $580!!! Then when I complained about how crazy for just an eye exam, they said that's too bad insurance didn't cover it and that is the cost of an eye exam!! $580!! I’ve had good care at the Blue Ash location with a specialist. However, today I went to the Fairfield location for the first time, for a simple exam. I waited 45 minutes to be taken back for exam by assistant. I was then escorted to another waiting room where I waited with lots of other people to see their doctor. I waited another 60 minutes. I have been trying to reschedule a surgery for a week now. I have called four times and have been told every time that the scheduler will call me back. This has to be somebody's idea of a joke. They apparently don't want my business.
While the quality of the medical care is outstanding, the entire appointment making process to the claims process is so bad that I now I plan on filing a complaint with the State of Ohio Insurance division. First the appointment scheduler took weeks of back and forth to schedule, you could hear her kids screaming in the background and yet she offered no real apologies for the lack of service. I suddenly had floaters and cloudy vision. Regardless of them having no appointments, they worked me in immediately. I needed 3 different doctors for a retinal tear. They made sure I was thoroughly evaluated and repaired my tear before I left. They saved my eye!
Dr. Katana performed Cataract Surgery on my right eye on December6, 2018, and it did not go well. Contrary to the notion that Cataract Surgery would lead to improved vision, the vision in my right eye is far worse compared to the time before Surgery I am angry.
