OK, no idea what some other folks are talking about but this place is 10/10 fantastic. As a guy from California, this is very authentic and delicious. Food was fresh and had great traditional Mexican dishes with wonderful service. The chef and owner is from Mexico and you can tell.
I wouldn't come here during a Friday We got seated and it took literally 45 minutes for our food to arrive The server wasn't the greatest and no communication as to when our food would arrive or progress Overpriced for the amount of food you'd pay for. The calamari we ordered didn't come with the sauce and our server wasn't on his A game and it wasn't even full pack busy at 800pm He didn't know what we ordered and really frustrated with their food and service to be honest.
Honestly, I never leave reviews. But this was a major disappointment. We walked in and the hostess was very sweet, and that was end of the “good” of our visit. The guacamole was out of a package and mush, the tortillas were stale. We were charged for lettuce and tomato to be put on chicken tacos, charged for refills of iced tea, charged for sour cream with fajitas… the food was below average at best, the upcharges for extremely basic “add ons” and refills for $4 drinks were ridiculous. We will not return here.
Wonderful authentic Mexican. Atmosphere depends on day and where you sit. Outdoor is usually best. Service is variable, but never bad.
My experience at Cilantro Restaurant was disappointing. The service did not meet my expectations, and I was also charged an automatic gratuity without it being clearly explained to me beforehand I was not satisfied with the chicken soup either. The avocado was placed directly in the hot soup, which made it warm and affected the flavor and texture. The soup also felt very heavy and rich for what was supposed to be a chicken soup.
