Just Awesome – I do business around the triangle and been to several restaurants. Was told about this hidden gem.... I was so glad I went. They were busy, didn't have a reservation, had to wait about 15 minutes. The food was beyond anything I have had. Service was superior. Waitress was great, forgot her name, but she had a Ukrainian name. This is a must go for authentic food. Reservations HIGHLY reccommended.
Business response:
Thank you, thank you, thank you for your feedback! Just as you said, reservations are recommended, especially on weekends! We will certainly pass on your comments to your server. She will be delighted to read your review. All the best and we look forward to serving you in the near future!
Very Happy! – We have been to Ciao several times and were there on the night the review came out. It was packed! They were short staffed, and not prepared for such a turn out. Despite that, the wine was fantastic and the food perfect. We had the grouper romano, mista salad and the creme brulee for dessert. We enjoyed the atmosphere as always. Hats off!
Business response:
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your meal and welcome your feedback. Hope to see you at Ciao again! Best!
Bad experience second time around – We enjoyed our first experience at Ciao several months ago very much.. However, our experience tonight was not good...not sure if the extraordinary review resulted in Ciao staff not being able to handle increased crowds. Caeser Salad was dry with not enough dressing, Scallops were cold and undercooked, and the final straw was creme brulee which had a soggy topping ...it had not been freshly "torched" for sugary crispness. While we were given a 10% discount for our problems, it seemed no on... read more

Thank you for your feedback. Honestly, we were were short staffed for reasons beyond our control. We are very sorry that your experience was not to your expectations on your last visit. We hope you will give us another chance to meet your expectations and rectify any mistakes made. Again thank you for your valuable feedback.
Excellent! – We heard about Ciao through some friends who had a Christmas gathering at the restaurant. My husband and I took some college friends there for dinner. We were seated promptly, and service was exceptional to say the least. The lounge upstairs was practically full, so we sat downstairs. The owner actually waited on us! Now that is something I admire in an owner. Alex was very accommodating and offered the perfect Italian wine for our entrees. I ordered the grouper romano & it was awesome! Did anyone see the Januar... read more

Excellent – We've been to Ciao on a number of occasions and ordered the same entrees every time. Each time, the meals were the same, cooked to perfection. Russ, our waiter was very pleasant and prompt. Our last visit was on New Year's Eve~ there was a special menu prepared for the night, $55/per person, 4 course dinner and a glass of champagne. Everything was absolutely perfect! Thanks for having such great cuisine and a fine, cozy atmosphere!
Business response:
Grazie for your valuable feedback. We too enjoyed New Year's Eve and are thankful that you chose to spend it with us! Thanks again and hope to see dining with us again soon!
Unbelievable is the only word I can think of to accurately describe our experience at Ciao Osteria. Unfortunately, I do not mean that in a good way. I decided to take my parents out for dinner before strolling through Historic Downtown Apex. We were promptly seated in the nearly empty restaurant. When we ordered our drinks, I also went ahead and ordered a pasta kids meal for my son. We enjoyed our appetizers and then our evening went terribly wrong. My mother received her entree and our server presented me with a kid?s meal ... read more
The Best Risotto I've Ever Tasted! – BRILLIANT comes to mind when I think of Ciao Osteria. We highly recommend this cozy restaurant in the historic part of Apex. The risotto is the best I've ever had! The staff are friendly and the food is mouth watering. Have a limoncello after dinner drink~ places a cap on the evening!

One of the Best in The Triangle – Ciao Osteria is one of the best restaurants I've visited in the Triangle. I am originially from Boston and am thankful to have a neighborhood restaurant that serves authentic Italian and Mediterranean food! My wife had rigatoni woozi and I ate the veal scallopine, followed by some of the best creme brulee I've ever had. Hats off to the Chef and entire Ciao staff. We'll be back soon.
Business response:
Grazie! We appreciate your generous feedback. Hope to see you at Ciao again soon!
Exceptional Cuisine – Everyone needs to visit Ciao! Osteria. I do alot of traveling all over the world, and honestly speaking, the food at Ciao is some of the best I have ever tasted. The entire restaurant is cozy and charming. They even have gourmet meals for kids. The wine is exceptional and servers will help you choose the best wine for the meal you order!
