Update 10 years later: I still come here. In still very happy every time I come. My girlfriend has become my wife and we have two kids. I 70% credit this to the hair cuts I receive at this place. Almost my whole family gets out hair cut here. Only my son doesn't get his hair cut here because he likes sitting in a plastic car. ---- I came here once in the summer of 2014 with my girlfriend as she had an appointment to get her hair cut. I have been doing my hair (straightening) with Yuki for more than 10 years and always walked out Chura with 100% satisfaction. The store is very clean and all the staff are very friendly and attentive. The price are very fair. I highly recommend Chura. Please make an appointment at least 2 weeks in advance because they are busy.

I’ve been going to Chura Primo for about 2 years with Maki after moving away from Hastings Street, where I used to go to Chura Crescendo for many years. Japanese hairstylists are honestly on another level. Their understanding of haircutting and geometry is amazing, and they really take your hair type and personal style into consideration. I have extremely fine hair, so although I love layers, they need to be done carefully with disconnected layers and blunt ends to keep fullness.
