Dr Clarkson treated each visit as if she had just met me. She rattled off terms that I did not understand and gave me no time to explain what she was saying or ask questions. She forgot why we were meeting each time we had an appointment, and told me it I needed to remind her to give me a pelvic exam when I came in for a pap. When that appointment came around she was reluctant to do the pap, and asked if I was really sure I needed one. I left every appointment feeling confused and underwhelmed by her "care". This doctor is friendly and likeable, but as time went on I wasn't sure if I mattered to her as a patient at all. She made me wait for her regularly, up to 45 minutes, twice while she chatted in the hall. She often forgets what we talked about at the previous appointment as well. I am quite dissatisfied with her care as a patient. I haven't delivered yet but would absolutely switch doctors if I weren't so close to my due date. I wouldn't recommend her as an OB.
She makes you feel at ease, she really listens to what you say, she takes the time to explain in detail her findings and she explores all options for your particular medical needs. She also will work with your insurance company if they do not want to approve funding for a procedure that has been recommended for your personal health situation. She really does care about her patients.
