Worked with Josh Wagner in parts department he was very helpful and very knowledgeable on my 2012 Ram 1500
Parts counter can't/won't do anything without a VIN. They are unequipped with the skill to look up anything by your make and model, even when it's a universal part that the VIN would not affect. When I asked for them to try and look something up using make, model and trim - which should only take moment - I just got put on a "penalty hold" until I hung up.
