We worked with Christy Mitchell in purchasing a vacation rental through this brokerage, and unfortunately our experience was disappointing. The property was advertised in the MLS as having a heated walkout basement. After closing, an HVAC evaluation confirmed that the basement would not heat above 64°F during the winter, despite being advertised as heated. I was the seller to Ms. Mitchell’s clients recently and had a horrible experience. When Ms. Mitchell bothered to communicate with my agent, it was via text messages for the most part. Ms. Mitchell arranged for and I agreed to a home inspection which occurred while I was out of town. When I returned three days later, the air conditioning had been left turned down in my living room, and the gas logs had been left turned up so they ran against each other for three days. Christy has shocked us with very unprofessional and mal-intended behavior after we had been so good to her.
Christy went above and beyond with helping us find the right home in the Franklin NC area. She was honest and forthcoming with information about homes on the market, and she had a lot of patience with our extended search. She was willing to drive all over the area for us, including Hayesville and represented our interests well.
Christy stuck with us while we searched for our dream home and we finally found it and we became friends over the time it took. She always responded when I called and answered any questions she could, very knowledgeable and helpful with all the home buying details. Highly recommend.
