Posted by Margaret Schenck. Dr. Benson was wonderful to work with. She performed cataract surgery on both my left and right eyes. She recommended a special lens for my left eye to correct the astigmatism and that has worked out very well. Dr. Benson is knowledgeable explaining all procedures in an understandable way. Dr.Benson has been taking care of eyes and I couldn’t be happier. She did my cataract surgery! She also takes care of my husband now! She is very knowledgeable. I won’t let anyone else take care of my eyes. She is the absolute best in her field!
Dr. Benson is one of the best eye doctors I’ve ever been to very knowledgeable great bedside manner When there’s something wrong, she digs till she finds out what’s going on and fixes the problem. I’ve had a couple of issues and she did not give up. Can’t ask for a better person or a better doctor.

Dr. Benson is the best eye doctor in Des Moines. She is incredibly thorough, caring, and truly listens to her patients. I had seen five other eye doctors and several specialists, and no one could figure out what was wrong. As my vision gradually worsened, some even thought it was anxiety.
