I have been there with an with what turned out to be an infected septus prosthetic knee e. coli infection, with what turned out to be a gangrene gall bladder, with severe indigestion, with fever aching nausea and mysterious misery. Each time they have ascertained the problem and either corrected the problem or got me the right facility for treatment. I cannot overstate how wonderful this staff and facility are.
Took my husband in for severe abdominal pain. We were told that it was gas bubbles and told to give him Gas-x, less than 48 hours later his appendix ruptured requiring emergency surgery. The surgeon said he had a very hard time believing that the appendicitis had not started on our initial ER visit at Christus because of the way the appendix looked. Looking back on the CT report from the ER visit, it stated that his appendix were enlarged yet we were not told this. It was not stated anywhere on the discharge paperwork either... read more
