I am without health insurance right now even though on Marketplace it says i am insured through Christus. I have spent over almost 2 hours between talking to employees only to be transferred, or sitting on hold. I have sent an email with NO response. I have had to cancel a doctor's appointment because I can't get help. Christus Health plan truly does not care!
I just started with this insurance. My sales rep was Jessica who signed me up. I was told to pick at date for my first payment to go thru. I picked the 25th cuz i didnt get paid til 23rd. But it went thru on the 22. I tried calling the 24 hr number to be told it was 8 to 6. So i left a message n called the next day. Jessica wouldnt take my call. Melissa was so great with setting up my Christus Medicare Plan. Due to caring for sick family, I'd been putting it off & open enrollment was closing end of November. Thankfully, Melissa called in time. She was so patient answering my questions, was very knowledgeable, I didn't feel rushed, she completed everything & coverage started. Fast forward year or so later, my husband needed coverage. He'd spoke with Morgan who was just as helpful. I can attest to that as I joined in conversations he'd had with her. Denies pretty much everything for my daughter even with a referral or prior authorization, but they're quick to take out their payment every month. Doctor's and specialist are very limited I can't even sign up for the online members portal as authorized representative keeps giving me run around the customer service reps are rude and unprofessional. I can't wait until open enrollment comes back around.
This is the worst insurance you can have. If it were not for Christus financial aid programs, nothing would get paid. Find another company. I am going to next open enrollment.
