About this business
History Established in 1976. Christopher's Gardens first appeared at the current site of the Taco Bell in Pinetop in 1976. The following summer the location moved to where the nursery currently sits. As the population grew in the White Mountains, so did Christopher's Gardens. The original property was only about a quarter the size of the current property. We always got all of our gardening needs, plants and trees from this great nursery. Chris was always very helpful never led me astray. We moved on to Chino Valley almost two years ago. I miss it so much I have threatened to drive back over in the Spring just to get quality plants and enjoy chatting with the Kengla family!! I thought about this because a picture popped up on my page from three years ago today when we bought a live Christmas tree in the snow. Visiting Lakeside, AZ. We came across a beautiful home garden near our cabin. Turns out it is owned by Christopher and Sandy Kengla. They invited us to their nursery, Christopher’s Gardens. My friend, Carina and I were so impressed by their gardens. Chris shared family history with us. We purchased beautiful garden treasures and plants. They have the most beautiful Dahlias, I’ve ever seen. We hope to come back, for sure! Highly recommend this nursery.
