I visited Dr. Stewart at the Arrowhead Clinic. I waited 1 hour past my appointment time and when I was finally seen I commented that I thought they had forgotten me. His retort was, well we're busy. I am too. My insurance was billed $331 for the 10 min. or so that I was with him. Consequently, he didn't have a clue. Maybe he's good at prescribing drugs or surgery.
My mother was a patient. WAS being the operative word. We couldn't reach him for appointments, prescriptions or billing errors. We tried. Her primary tried. Her pharmacist tried. And even her new urologist tried. One her last two visits they demanded a copay, or she couldn't be seen. On top of Medicare, she is CHAMPVA, which means NO copay at all. They refused to refund her payment, even lied about billings to CHAMPVA, and once tried to make some idiot claim that it had been bought out. It's a federal program. Seriously? So,... read more
Although Dr Stewart is a great Physician and the office staff is very personable, it is extremely difficult to have calls returned,procedures scheduled and necessary prescriptions sent. Overall it was a frustrating experience.
This guy is the greatest. His patient to doctor communication is great and he can explain things which makes it easy to understand. I have been going to him for several years and would recommend him in a New York minute to anyone. Thanks Dr. Stewart. Dave Rice
Dr. Stewart is an excellent urologist. Not only has he performed surgery on me, but as a professional colleague, he has cared for many of my patients as well. A+
This Appointment was very important to me. It took me a while to pick this Dr out. And it was a 20 minute drive and then over an hour including the exam room and to be told by his PA he was too busy for you. Are you kidding me. Something is very wrong here. I went with my gut feeling and I never went back. Make sure you ck your MRI and reports if you took any before you leave. Another surprise when I got home.
Was referred to Dr. Stewart by Dr. Bohnert, another doctor in the same group as Dr. Stewart who had retired a few years ago. I felt that the care received by Dr. Stewart was merely adequate and his demeanor somewhat cold. However, it was the greed and incompetence of his office staff that forced me to leave his care. Was overcharged every visit, had to wait months for reimbursement, insurance misunderstood leading to incorrect billing by rude staff. At end, turned out that I was right all along.
Wonderful doctor. Very personable with great bedside manner. Procedure (vasectomy) took less than 20 minutes, and I had little to no pain afterwards. I would highly recommend Dr. Stewart.
