This doctor treated my Mother at a RCF and does not support having a family advocate. As a family, we like to make decisions collectively so when an introduction of a medication came up and a medication change from a doctor who only sees my Mother for 5 minutes at a time once per month we requested the opportunity to consult with her team of physicians of 15+ years. We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience. After respectfully expressing concerns about a medication that was being recommended for my family member, concerns that were supported by her specialists, the physician chose to dismiss her from the practice. Families should be able to ask questions and advocate for their loved ones without fear of being dropped as patients. I am so thankful for Dr. Montgomery being my doctor for many years. When I had a recent heart-related concern,he ordered relevant test right away. Then when an issue showed up he immediately referred me to a cardiologist.At my original visit with Dr. Montgomery he set up a follow up appointment to go over test results and explain what they meant. He even gave me guidance about what to ask the cardiologist. His calm,clear explanation received my fears. A big THANK YOU to you. Dr. Montgomery.
