A complete scam artist. I was visiting family from outside of town and wanted to get a simple eye checkup to receive measurements for my contacts. He convinced me to come to two different appointments to "check my eye health" and told me that insurance would cover everything above a certain amount which he pre-booked on my credit card. Scammer!!!!! I took my son to him for an eye irritation, and during the first three visits, he charged $200 each time as a security deposit, totaling $600. He promised to reimburse us $525 once the insurance payment cleared (after deducting the copay). It's been over a month since the insurance payment was processed, and despite leaving multiple voicemails and sending him messages, we’ve received no response! The email address he provided doesn’t work—it keeps bouncing back. Dr. Lyon, if you’re reading this, please respond!
I’ve been going to Dr. Lyon since I moved to Newport 8 years ago and he’s been great! I have dye eye, and am a glaucoma suspect as it runs in the family and he’s very good about checking on those things to ensure I’m in the best shape. His bedside manner is excellent, and I’d highly recommend him.
Referred to Dr. Lyon by a friend. I was nervous about my first visit, but the friendly staff warmly greeted me and made me feel comfortable. I came in for my issues with dry eyes, and was recommended special eye drops to ease the irritation. Dr. Lyon is a kind and compassionate doctor who strives to provide his patients with quality care!
My contacts haven’t bothered me for 10 years, but they became really irritated recently. They were extremely dry and no amount of eye drops seemed to relieve me long-term. I was scared of any scratches to my cornea or worse because of my long-term contacts wear and poor eye care.
