While sitting in a hotel room in Comstock Park watching Last Man Standing, enjoying the last known Sierra Nevada Celebration seasonal ales, FB said I was attending this event. Good beer, great show.
Its become a family tradition each year. It's nicely arranged and the people that run it are nice too.
When my husband was stationed at Fort Hood, they also had a drive through light show that only cost $5 per car and was easily 4x the size. For the price, we expected more than a 7 minute drive through. Many of the lights were burnt out or part of the animations weren't working. Also, a car got stuck in the mud in the middle of the path in front of us... Extremely disappointed and will not waste our money next year.
The light show was a disappointment! Some displays had sections that were unlit (several bicycles had unlit areas on the tires, the tunnels had unlit strands ,the large green tree had whole sections that didn't flash, etc). The redundancy of the meandering drive brings you past the same displays. The road was filled with potholes, making the experience about which was worse: the road, the entrance fee, or the display. Kinda pricey I understand lights take money to have and power to make them work. Maybe 2 times threw wood make it feel a lil more worth it. Not to mention the dummy's that left there headlights on the hole time.
