I had my first appointment with Dr. Weinberger yesterday for Mohs surgery to address a Basal Cell Carcinoma on my scalp. I was instantly impressed with Dr. Weinberger's demeanor, her bedside manner, her skill in surgery and how she instructs and treats her Dermatology Interns. She personally took my specimen to Pathology, a small but critical detail that indicates a superb surgeon. Unbelievably, she called at 8:45pm to check up on me 6 hours post procedure. Dr Weinberger removed a malignant melanoma from my temple. Using the MOHS procedure she insured that all cancerous cells were removed and margins were clear. Her artistry was in her closing up the wound in a manner that was basically invisible within 6 weeks! Christine Weinberger is very personable and it was easy to relax and almost enjoy the procedure.
Dr Weinberger is extremely caring and talented. Listening to her explain to the attending Fellow and Resident what she was doing reminded me of watching Steven Sondheim explain how to sing one of his songs. They both are playing at a different level, and i feel very fortunate to have been the beneficiary of her skill and insight.
Dr. Weinberger exudes confidence. I found her to be honest, direct, yet sensitive. She made herself accessible before, during and after my procedure. I would highly recommend her.
