Dr. Mimikos was my doctor at Maine Med after my tracheotomy surgery. She talked a good talk and said all the right things, but did nothing she said she would do. There were about nine times she said she would do something for me such as order supplies for my trach. She did not follow through one time. The biggest thing that happened was she kept looking at my trach wound. It looked awful! It was oozing and bleeding and very painful. Dr Mimeko and her team, Kate and Amanda aaa are outstanding in their professionalism, their skills and their kindness. I could go on! They operated on my oral cancer which they think was caused by second hand smoke and before they operated I was given many tests. Dr Gitto, a skilled dentist on Forest Ave crafted my 6 bottom front teeth and I woke up from surgery with them in place. I cannot say enough about this team and Dr Gitto. They all took time and patience with my many questions. This team is the best!
I have Dr. Mimikos as a surgeon for my squamous cell cancer. She is talented, extremely efficient and down to earth. Her approach is concise and she never fails to explain each and every step of her treatment plan. Visits are never rushed. I would highly recommend Dr. Mimikos to anyone seeking a highly skilled, competent and well-rounded ENT Surgeon.
