The company installed the original heating system when this house was built back in the late 1970's. In 2002, when I inherited the house, I got them in to replace the heating plant with a high efficiency unit and add air conditioning. Their work then, as before, was prompt, efficient, courteous, and (most of all) reasonably priced. Things went without a hitch and they did the whole job (remove the old system and install the new one) in a day. They even pulled the necessary permits, too, which is rare for a contractor to actually do.
I've had them back for regular preventive maintenance and have always found them the same as always - prompt (they literally show up within a minute or two of the promised time), efficient (they get right to work with no mucking about) and reasonably priced (I learned long ago to avoid the low priced job - you literally get what you pay for!). Even their service contract is a win-win proposition.

My AC went out right before one of the hottest weekends of the season. I originally called a bigger HVAC shop to have them diagnose it. They said that my unit was rapidly leaking freon and needed to be replaced. They then gave me an estimate for a unit that would have been overkill for the size of my house. I called Kurt Christiansen at Christiansen Heating and asked him to check it out. After diagnosing it, he arrived at the same conclusion. When he quoted out a new system, he quoted one that was perfect for my house and my needs. After getting the new AC unit, he had it installed the next day. He did quality work, was extremely flexible and understanding, and his prices were honest and fair. Christiansen's (and particularly Kurt) are awesome. I would recommend them to anyone that has any HVAC needs in the area.
