We had a great experience. Got admitted unexpectedly and needed to be induced. Nurse Jenny was exceptional, and my wife's OB happened to be there on rotational hours and did the delivery. The rooms were way nicer than I imagined.
Bunch of lazy doctors and nurses that do nothing and prolonged everything so the next shift would have to do the work. Nurses sleeping in the break room, empty rooms with the lights off. Not to mention the nurses station is more like the cell phone break room.
We just had our son 2 days ago at Christiana Hospital and it was a great experience! The building was very nice and had everything we needed. Everything was clean. The staff, nurses, and doctors were truly amazing! Everyone we met was friendly, encouraging, and helpful. The food for postpartum was delicious and balanced.
I’m 5 days postpartum and wanted to share my experience mostly with my postpartum stay. I did have a planned c section that got pushed back a few hours because of emergencies but we totally understood that. My main reason for this review is to rave about the nurses I had postpartum. They were INCREDIBLE and so caring, informative, and helpful. They will likely be what I remember most about my experience giving birth. Our private room was a really good size. I delivered here in 2018, and it was an awful experience. I was scheduled for an induction, and when I arrived my OB wasn't even on shift. I asked if I could meet the person who was going to deliver my baby and was told that they were busy. At no point, did she come and introduce herself. The OB came in about twelve hours after I arrived to break my water. The anesthesiologist was quick and efficient at getting my epidural started.
