The Day I was seen by Dr. Updike he was actually substituting for another WC physician Dr. Updike never inquired about how I was coming along, my pain level or my physical status he then asked me to stand up, I stated that I was thinking of possible joint replacement, he said he was closing my WC case and putting me at MMI Immediately!! I wanted to possibly talk about some options and he stated that I was a walk in and he didn't have time to discuss anything further and walked out of the room, my 1st impression was that he w... read more
Very unprofessional. Saw him multiple times for WC claim. He treated me as if I was lying. He did not listen to me and even laughed in my face when I told him that certain simple household chores caused me pain. He caused me additional pain and delay in my recovery and treatment. He also did not document any of my concerns and never knew what specialists or therapists had said. I pity anyone with a soft tissue/nerve injury- RUN AWAY. If a scan doesn't show your pain, your screwed!
This was my first workers comp claim, and I was lost about the process. Dr. Updike truly advocates for his patients. He is easy to talk to, truly cares and has a great staff.
