I had Dr Basque after a car wreck injured my shoulder. 4 months later I am not fully recovered. Keeps ignoring my most outstanding symptoms. Showed up to his office in a pool of tears from the pain. Told me he was not giving me pain relief. In his words "we don't do that here". I've never been so shunned by a Doctor like this ever. No compassion. I can't lift my arm without screaming and he OKed me to return to work. I can't even sleep a full night due to the pain! A total hack of a Doctor! Go elsewhere!
Never have I left an appointment feeling as bad as I did with Dr. Basque. He is cold, dismissive and literally walked out of the room while I was still talking once I told him I was feeling anxious. He didn’t care at all about my concerns. The medical assistants and front desk ladies were very sweet, helpful and caring. I would never recommend Dr. Basque unless you like feeling like you and your concerns don’t matter.
No bedside manner. Acted annoyed that I was even in his office. Did not listen to what I had to say. Once he found one problem he stopped there and would not consider anything else was wrong. 2 months later I had an MRI which was ordered by a different Dr and sure enough there was more damage to the area. I would not recommend this Dr!!!
Rude, dismissive, and inattentive. Told me nothing was wrong, surgery wasn’t an option, and I could only do pt. I had patellar instability and ended up needing surgery to fix it. Stay clear of Dr.Basque and SMHC orthopedics in Biddeford.
