This is our chowder place. They have great fries and sandwiches but their chowder is probably the biggest reason we go there. I'm very picky about my clam chowder. Even when it's busy, the staff is very friendly and the view of the ocean can't be beat! I'm not sure if they still do, but they used to sell their chowder base to take home.

A childhood memory of many summers going to the Chowder bowl. Just as I remember same amazing food and service that I had this great joy of sharing this experience with my own children and most definitely many more visits in the future.
the tables were greasy an dirty. it took for ever to get the waiter to take our order. we was more into visiting with friends sitting at the bar an football. food was ok. drinks we ordered were bitter. chowder was more potato soup almost no clams. we love Depot Bay but wont return to Chowder Bowl
