Completely dismissed me when I presented to L&D triage, I was in labour and she in a round about way asked if I was just there for drugs and offered me pain meds. Didn’t do anything to confirm labour. I delivered our stillborn baby 36 hours later. Horrible Doctor, no compassion, rushed through seeing me, no help. I have severe trauma and don’t trust Doctor’s now from her lack of care.
Dr Chouinard is hands down the best. (Her photo is even on the elevator at Markham Stouffville - recognizing her as the hero she is). I was originally with Dr Chouinard for my first pregnancy before switching over to a midwife that was closer to home. Couldn’t have asked for a better OB during my pregnancy. Smart and straight to the point! Dr Chouinard is the best and I hope she doesn’t retire anytime soon!
This is my first pregnancy, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better OB-GYN than Dr. Chouinard. She has made me feel so confident and comfortable every step of the way. No matter how many questions I have (and there have been a lot!), she always takes the time to explain everything clearly and never makes me feel rushed or unheard. Dr. Chouinard is amazing! I had her for both my pregnancies and wouldn't have wanted it differently. Her follow up is thorough and remembers the fine details of your previous appt for your current one. She is quick, gets right to business and does what she needs to do, and is always sure to ask if you have any questions. She will take the time to go through any worries you have and ensure you understand any risks / reassures you before leaving.
