Lack of customer service I've been eating at Chop and Wok for over 15 years. Since under new ownership since 2002 I've noticed a complete lack of customer service. Apparently having a cheap toner shop turned bar is more important that being nice to your customers. Not only that but the food has taken a turn for the worst. What was once a great little chinese food place has turned into just another bad chinese food place. 1 stars out of 5. I'll go elsewhere after 15 years.
Stay Away!! Go to McDonalds Tired and didn't want to venture out so how bad can Chinese food be? OH BOY, McDonald's would have been 100 times better even with the heartburn afterwards.Messed up my order, order sides/extras and didn't get it, ordered Chop Seuy and Tofu Back Bean...all taste the same, what did they cook it in the same pan and forgot to rinse!By far the worst I have ever had and I travel ordering out alot.
Love this Place! Chop and Wok is a little hole in the wall on the Northwest corner of Scottsdale Road and Shea; but dont pass them by because they dont necessarily cater to the larger crowds. Their food is amazing and is by far the best Chinese take out in the valley. I have searched far and wide to find take out that rivaled with my home towns favorite Chinese restaurant. Really enjoy this place Love the crab puffs and vegetarian tofu. They cater to your dietary needs. My husband and I enjoy playing the on line quiz games. Just pick up a unit at the bar and log on. If you are looking for ambience, this is not the place. Fast service and very friendly and accommodating staff. We are anxiously awaiting their kitchen reopening. The dishes we have had are great. We don't eat meat, so I can't comment on the other entrees.
Consistent and dependable Chinese My family has been eating food from Chop & Wok for over 18 years, and it was there long before that. We have been through several ownerships with them, have been with them through the days of simply take out, and then a sit-down patio and now the Wok Star, and have found it to be reliably consistent good food at a good price and a fun place to go! Wok Away - Chop Your Losses This place has been around - what?- for about 15 - 20 years? We don't live too far away and have seen it go through changes over the years - apparently, none of effort has been to repair the quality of the food which has plummeted in recent years.
