Choice has been a really bad experience. It takes Alan weeks if not months to resolve simple issues and he no-show and no-calls all the time after setting times to come do maintenance. That wouldn’t be such an issue if everything in the building wasn’t so cheaply made. Like what good is a terrace when all the furniture is broken, paint-peeling discount ply wood. Unresponsive when trying to get your security deposit back.
Choice NY Management has been holding my full security deposit for weeks since moving out and has not acknowledged any of my emails, phone calls, or messages asking when they plan to return. By NYC law, security deposits need to be returned in full within 14 days of tenant moving out (or discounted for deductions if the deductions list was communicated within the 14 day window). Choice Management is great! They are quick to respond to any questions and are very knowlegdable about their properties. Highly recommend Roman and Crystal. They are very helpful and speedy with any information that is needed from them, and are always pleasant and cheerful in their responses.
I’d give 0 stars if I could. There are not enough words to describe my hate for this company. In most cases I am pro-choice, but in this case I am not. They have made my life a living hell ever since they took over as the manager of my building. I have had thousands of dollars worth of packages stolen since I lived in this building. We have a camera in the lobby (not sure it even works), but Choice refused to look through the footage or help regarding what has been stolen.
